Most drownings in the tub are a result of being rendered unconscious by a fall, slip or having been administered a narcotic sufficient to induce unconsciousness. As long as your limbs are working you will be able to lift your airway out of the water and you will have a reflexive action to the water entering your airway. I have researched for any real "fell asleep naturally and drowned" instances and have found none proven to date. Good question- made me an inquiring mind !
